Lakeshore did what they have not done since 1996: defeat St. Joe in a soccer game.
The loss ends the streak of 23 unbeaten contests.
Lakeshore won 2-1, despite putting their first shot on goal in the 78th minute! St. Joe was plagued by an own goal in the 10th minute. The 1-0 lead held until a Lakeshore player fired ashot on goal past Andrew Haumersen and David Bendewald. The Bears removed starting goalkeeper Brian Mejeur with around 3:30 to go in the game. Paul Perrin scored SJs only goal, which only served the purpose of ruining a shutout since less than one minute remained.
